Office of International Exchange and Cooperation ​ Duties

 

The Office of International Exchange and Cooperation  is a functional department and service institution under the leadership of HIFA CPC Committee and the General Administration Office of the Institute, implementing relevant national foreign-affairs-related guidelines and policies and educational foreign-affairs-related policies, and is responsible for international exchange and cooperation of HIFA. The Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs is the functional department and service institution that implements the national  guidelines and policies on Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan affairs, and is responsible for the exchange and cooperation between HIFA and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions, and handle official affairs jointly with the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. The main duties of the Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office) are as follows:

 

I. Responsible for drafting plans and programs for international exchange and cooperation of HIFA.

 

II. Responsible for drafting and revising the rules and regulations concerning foreign affairs of HIFA.

 

III. Coordinating and managing the international exchange and cooperation projects of HIFA, and taking charge of the reviewing, verifying, applying and approving of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run educational institutions and projects.

 

IV. Responsible for the reviewing, verifying, applying and approving of international academic conferences, exhibitions and other foreign-related academic activities sponsored or undertaken by HIFA.

 

V. Responsible for liaison and coordination of overseas visits, and foreign visitor reception arrangements of HIFA.

 

VI. Responsible for the reviewing and approving of going abroad (across the border) on business, as well as the application, storage and collection for cancellation of ordinary passports and permits for going to and returning from Hong Kong and Macao on business.

 

VII. Undertaking the relevant administration of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run educational institutions, government-sponsored personnel studying abroad, overseas personnel studying in China, and foreign experts and teachers.

 

Emphasizing the application for foreign expert introduction and the application for and approval of foreign teachers and experts.

 

VIII. Responsible for the selection and management of international exchange students, as well as the coordination and management of overseas study and exchange activities organized by the Institute.

 

IX. Responsible for the publicity for enrollment of overseas students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as the application and management of their entry, residence and study in China, etc.

 

X. Responsible for the exchange and cooperation between HIFA and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions, and coordinating and facilitating the work related to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions.

 

XI. Completing other tasks assigned by superior authorities and the leaders of the Institute.
